Patrizia Lombardi
A Tuscan native of Florence, with great interest in the history of traditions and inspired by the profound gastronomic heritage in Italy, the culinary arts became Patrizia’s medium of creativity and expression.
She studied culinary nutrition, and continues on a never ending path of epicurean learning.
Patrizia teaches her students that food is also a great traveler—and ‘traditional cuisines’ tell deeper stories of many different cultures, exchanges and customs.
Venice was love at first sight for Patrizia. She discreetly began discovering the Serenissima on tiptoe, and continues to this day. It is here where she wants to share her passion—at the crossroads of food and history through cooking classes and walks in Giudecca.
Lisa Esclapon
Also a native Florentine, Lisa has by family tradition a gourmet appreciation of genuine Italian products and production.
Lisa’s passions range from Italian literature, art and music. Food and entertainment are the cornerstone of family values and global culture for Lisa.
She co-created Venetian Table to celebrate her deep love for Venice, home to her ancestors. For her, sharing a meal around a table brings people together—and doing it in Venice adds a unique magic.
Team Venetian Table
Patrizia and Lisa were classmates in high school, and then reconnected some years later after various chapters in their lives: marriage, children, different careers and countries.
Their mutual love for Venice—with its abundance of traditions and secrets to discover—sparked the strong connection and the creation of Venetian Table.
For the Venetian Table duo, food is culture, identity and well-being —and is best shared with others.
“In Giudecca we found a hidden, authentic Venice, and with Venetian Table our trip is on-going, and you are invited to join us!”
